Scotland Winter Wardrobe

I am thrilled to be popping over the pond with one BFF to see another BFF in London then a jaunt to Scotland where we meet up with another BFF for New Year’s! I’ve got the London wardrobe down pat as I usually go every Christmas but “cold”, “wet” and “dark” is all I’m hearing about Scotland. The first order of business? Solid, waterproof, loch-proof footwear.

I love these boots! The Dubarry Wexford will see you through any country river and the Adjustable Back Hunters are great for mud and puddle jumping- amirite, ladies of a certain calf-width?! The Hunters aren’t very warm but good wool socks and a shearling liner will help! I’m also looking at these numbers below for the city. Tell me if you have them and if you like them. The Sorel Conquest Wedge and the Sorel Joan of ArcticWedge Mid Shearling Boot:

UPDATE! I may have to get these for the holidays instead! ROSE GOLD BOOTS!

For toasty jumpers, I am loving the KJP Fantastic Fox sweater, the Boden Robin Lurex Intarsia sweater, and the classic L.L. Bean 1912 Heritage Irish Fisherman’s sweater, although I have my very own hand-knit from County Mayo, Ireland.

Of course, a great Helly Hansen waterproof wind-resistant puffer jacket and a Patagonia fleece pullover are essential for winter wear but I’d love to tartan it out with capes, hats and pajama bottoms.

Too much? 🙂 I’d love to hear where you’re going, what you’re doing and what outfits you’re planning to wear!
